It's the most powerful carrier of mental energy we know, and we're truly NO esoterics. We're convinced, that music is helpful in many situations and daily affairs, especially when it comes to concentration, relaxation and meditation.
That's why we have developed Floatin.
Floatin provides you professionally created audio atmospheres that help you to stay focused, to be creative, to relax, to meditate or just to fall asleep.
Yes, there is a vast number of meditiation apps out there, but Floatin is a little bit different.
Most of these apps want to be suitable for every purpose, with different achievable goals, voice guidance and often with this trivial, cheesy, new age music that deflects attention away from you. In this case, Floatin is going another way. In our understanding the music should sound like steady, large-scaled and open atmospheres. Atmospheres where your consciousness can glide away, or take it as a guiding track to stay focused. Maybe the following metaphor describes it better. Just imagine you're an apnea diver and the audio atmosphere is the wire that leads you down to the dark ground of the ocean. So we've paid much attention in creating a variety of hi quality atmospheres and cut out all the other stuff that only increases complexity.
Choose between four different moods:
Warm, dark, space and strange. From cuddeling in a warm and secure coat, to a strange encounter with the third kind.
Each mood contains 5 atmospheres (in the pro version). Every atmosphere sounds different, but has a similiar temper. Tab on the name to listen to a preview.
Each atmosphere can be played from 5 minutes to one hour. The numbers on the buttons represent the playtime in minutes.

No, you can use Floatin offline. There are no limitations, when you're using is offline. This is the reason, why the floatin app needs about 80 MB free space on your device.
We haven't observed such an effect till now and we are testing a lot. :-) We neither can exclude, nor confirm effects like astral travel. You have to find out for yourself.
Yes and no. The free version is...well...free. The pro version costs less then an avarage fastfood burger-menue or a latte-what-ever at Starbucks.
Well, this was a big issue in the first time. We've read a lot about delta, theta, alpha waves and binaural beats. After studying a lot of papers and websites and after testing a series of "naked" frequencies, we came to the conclusion, that the scientific evidence of an appreciable effect is not that strong, respectively it's not corresponding with our approach and understanding of how an atmosphere should soud like. We're not saying that there is no effect, but in our opinion not strong enough to care about. On the other side, no one is saying, that there is no effect at all, when you dispense all the specs of creating brianwaves. Either way all of our atmospheres are in the same spectral range as these "brain waves", so we guess that we're fulfilling the specifications by accident. :-) Another thing is, that binaural beats for example presumes that you're using stereo headphones. But many people are using their bluetooth speaker for meditation or to listening to music. The "binaural effect", if there is one at all, is lost, when you're not using headphones. So, to answer the question: No, but give it a try and decide for yourself.
No! You don't need an account and there is no subscription. We hate that s...t! We're not collecting any personal data, we're only collecting anonymized data about your android-version, which country you're from and which atmospheres you were playing for how long. Of course we want to improve our app. And this data helps us to do so.
